Eproval 4.21 Release Notes
Release Dates: Sept 7 -Sept 13, 2026
Key Highlights
e-Signature Integration. The Permit Generation Module now supports integration with an agency’s DocuSign or Adobe e-signature platform. Agencies can continue to generate PDF documents for wet signature or incorporate e-signature into their permitting process.
Authorized Access. Primary Contacts can provide others with limited access to an application while remaining responsible for its management. Up to three Authorized Viewers can be given view-only access, and one Authorized Payer can be given access to view the application and pay invoices. The Primary Contact remains the individual authorized to make legal, financial, and operational decisions on behalf of the Applicant.
Cost Estimates. Clients using the Invoice and Payment Module can create a Cost Estimate and send it to the Applicant for acceptance. Messages between the applicant and person that created the estimate can be posted directly in the estimate. When actual costs are known, the Cost Estimate can be copied to an Invoice, modified as needed, and issued to the Applicant.
Application Report Export via Email. The Application Report allows Permit Managers to create reports using selected data fields from an application type. Reports can now be shared directly by email with a link to access the completed report, eliminating the need to export the report to a CSV file and email it separately.
Accessible PDF Documents. Documents generated by Eproval in PDF format, including Permits and Custom Reports, are compliant with ADA and other accessibility standards that follow WCAG 2.2 Level AA.
Address Auto-completion. When an Applicant begins typing an address, address verification and auto-completion help identify and complete the address.
Email System Improvements. Preset notification templates can now be disabled, giving agencies greater control over which automated emails are sent. Applicant and Reviewer notifications have been separated, allowing each audience to receive instructions specific to how they access Eproval. Preset notification content is also more flexible, allowing dynamic parameters to be removed when they are not needed. Scheduled notifications can now be associated with multiple statuses, reducing the need for duplicate templates.
Reviewer Permit Generation. The Permit Generation Module now allows authorized Reviewers to generate, and issue permits and other documents as part of the application review process. Access can be granted to specific Reviewers to use designated templates for supporting documents such as Tent Permits or Letters of Authorization. Previously, permit generation was limited to Permit Managers.
