Corporate and Business Development
Jonathan is a founder of Eproval who leads all corporate and business development activities. He is responsible for the overall revenue growth and go to market strategy of the company.
For the last two decades, he has been a senior sales leader in enterprise software companies like Crystal Decisions, Cognos, IBM and HP Software.
Jonathan enjoys many activities including mountain biking, hockey and swimming. He holds a bachelor of business administration from the University of New Brunswick.
Rene is the original founder of Eproval and is responsible for product strategy and management.
He is also the chief visionary of Eproval, leaning on his experience in a variety of roles over the past 20 years in the web development industry. This broad experience enables Rene to have a deep understanding of all aspects of web-based development and how they relate to the company vision and goals.
Rene is an avid outdoor enthusiast with a degree in Engineering from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada.
Karen is one of our founders and responsible for the implementation of Eproval for our clients.
Karen is also our user interface designer and is responsible for the Eproval visual interface. She has more than 17 years of experience working collaboratively with clients on the design and implementation of their ideas and strategies.
Karen has a double major in Economics and Accounting and a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Western Australia. She worked in Investor Relations in the mining industry for four years before going back to School to study Digital Design and Interactive Media.
Director of Sales
Duncan is the director of business development for Eproval and is helping to expand Eproval’s client base in Eastern North America.
With more than 17 years of experience working in sales, marketing and account management, he brings to the team an abundance of diverse experience in the IT sector.
Duncan’s passion for lifelong learning in science and technology is equally matched by his interest in a variety of sports, including hockey and mountain biking.
Vanessa has 25+ years experience working in project management, marketing, communications, and strategic planning. Her extensive skills and pragmatic style, coupled with her highly adaptable skillset, have earned her a reputation for getting stuff done. She previously led Tourism Whistler’s marketing team before becoming Project Manager for Visa’s 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games program. She has since worked for several outdoor companies and in many government roles.
Vanessa has a Bachelor of Information Management from Deakin University, and a Graduate Certificate in Knowledge Management from RMIT University. She is a trained silversmith, and an avid mountain biker and rock climber.
Robert Orr is a seasoned corporate development strategist with 20+ years of public practice and executive experience. Robert has a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Victoria and is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Business Valuator. Currently, he is the President and CEO of Life360 Innovations, Inc. Prior to his current role, he was CFO and VP business development of a TSX listed mining company.
Before his executive roles in the industry, Robert was a Partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC), providing complex financial advisory services that included fairness opinions, valuations, due diligence and buy/sell side advice to private/public companies and the public sector. Robert was also the HR partner for PwC’s Advisory practice in BC and worked as a tax advisor with Deloitte for the first half of his professional career.
Roger Kuypers is a partner in the Technology and Intellectual Property Practice Group of the international law firm Fasken Martineau LLP (Faskens). He works primarily with businesses and institutions focused on the development, acquisition and commercialization of intellectual property, including life sciences technologies, information technologies and trade-marks.
Roger is the regional Chair of Fasken’s Biotechnology and Life Sciences Practice group. His clients include biotechnology, medical device and pharmaceutical companies and health authorities. As well, Roger leads the Trade-marks Prosecution Group in the Vancouver office and assists clients with copyright and patent assignments.
