Eproval helps cities and municipalities automate workflows with an efficient, cost effective solution. We’re quickly building our client base and our customers rave about how easy it is to implement and use our product. A little about what we do

City events drive economic development but reviewing and approving permits is a complex task. We’ve developed an online permitting platform that’s easy to implement and fulfils the needs of eGov initiatives and net-zero targets. We help our customers save time and money, offer greater transparency to applicants and reviewers and drive enhanced engagement and collaboration. Our platform also acts as a central archive to quickly duplicate processes or act as a legal audit repository. In short, we solve issues that city administrators face trying to get permits reviewed and approved. We make life easier for a whole lot of people.

Business Development Representative (BDR)

Bring your can-do attitude. We can train on a lot of things, but it’s better if you come with a positive outlook. Next, consider what it’s going to be like reporting to the Managing Director. That’s like saying you’re going to be reporting to the top dog in a company that doesn’t believe in calling anyone CEO. By the same token, your title is going to be BD Rep, but you are going to be doing some pretty cool stuff with some big opportunities to shine.

We’re going to ask you to take ownership of every opportunity to engage a new prospect and match their needs with our value proposition. You’re going to be doing this in a whole new market that we are planning to tackle so you won’t be bumping up against any other Eproval reps. This is an entirely greenfield opportunity. We will set you up for success with support, materials and guidance.

Down to brass tacks
As my grandfather used to say, let’s get down to brass tacks. What you’ll be doing among other things is harnessing inbound interest. You will be expected to offer a very professional experience to prospects and stakeholders who have heard about Eproval and want you to answer their questions. We’ll need you to take their curiosity and with a transfer of enthusiasm and a sprinkle of positive tension, turn them into hot leads that you’ll nurture into customers.

You will also be expected to spend time researching new potential prospects, working your network and pulling magic out of sales tools. We’ll ask you to follow up on high quality leads, and iterate and improve our messages and scripts until we have a honed message and sales machine. You will also be expected to have fun in the process. Our managing director likes to start his day making sales calls in his pajamas from home but we’re okay if you prefer shorts and a T-shirt. Of course, we expect professional attire for any Zoom calls or in-person meetings. We’re professional, but we’re not uptight.

It’s not all sales calls in your pajamas, here are some specific responsibilities you’ll be tasked with:

  • Respond to leads, execute quality conversations and seek to build customer relationships
  • Work within the sales & marketing team to develop targeted lists, call strategies and messaging
  • Look for cost-effective ways to increase awareness of Eproval
  • Research prospects, build outreach, understand client needs & articulate our value prop
  • Use a combination of phone, email, and social media to schedule qualified meetings
  • Constantly evolve and improve the lead qualification process
  • Maintain a pipeline of prospects as information is gathered and interest is vetted, leveraging your CRM skills and being diligent about tracking notes and activities
  • Achieve your target for sales qualified leads by following up on marketing qualified leads and turning those into scheduled meetings

What you bring to the team

  • We would love to see you with 5-7 years of relevant sales experience in software as a service
  • You must have outstanding communication and presentation skills, ideally you can also write
  • You must have comfort on the phone – initiating contacts and learning from customers
  • A curiosity for self-improvement: learning quickly & often, aiming to improve & optimize
  • You must have knowledge of CRM concepts and methodologies, even better if you know Zoho
  • You must be adaptable: not a chameleon, but able to learn new concepts & retain information
  • You must have a successful track record – setting sales appointments in a SaaS environment
  • Here’s one we think you’ll like: coachable, self-aware and open to feedback – we like that stuff
  • Hey, you might not have this one but if you do, you might just be the one – on top of everything else, a good understanding of the public sector and gov. solution selling with long sales cycles

Azure/React Developer

We are looking for an experienced software engineer to be an integral part of our development team, providing expertise on end-to-end product development. As one of our core team members, you will be responsible for a large share of our codebase and will serve as an expert on all aspects of our technology stack. The right candidate will be creative, keen to learn new technologies, and master Azure topics quickly. Originally developed in .Net/c#, our software stack is migrating towards microservices with a React frontend and Azure Storage powering the back end. The entire stack is hosted in MS Azure.

This is a great opportunity for a software engineer looking for a key, influential role and career growth opportunity in an early-stage company that has a proven product, clients and significant market potential. You will be able to take pride in having a have direct influence on the design, functionality and roadmap of our software.

Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate on the functionality and technology of our software product.
  • Conceptualize ideas and then integrate into our product.
  • Continually assess new technologies and whether they are a fit.
  • Develop user-facing features and components using React.js and Azure storage tables.
  • Continuously improve the Azure hosting architecture of our software.

Requirements:

  • Industry experience working on production level software.
  • Strong proficiency in Javascript, HTML, CSS.
  • Several years of React development experience.
  • 2+ years experience developing and implementing Azure services using Azure DevOps tools.
  • Azure certification in Azure Developer, Solutions Architect or similar.
  • Experience building RESTful APIs and web services
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and a skilled communicator.
  • Experience with C# and .Net is a bonus

Implementation Consultant

In addition to working with someone that is smart, creative and engaging you’re going to be reporting to one of the original founders! Your title is going to be  Implementation Consultant, but you are going to be doing some pretty cool stuff with some big opportunities to shine.

We’re going to ask you to take ownership of carefully onboarding new clients and setting them up for success. We will provide on-the-job training, materials, coaching and mentorship.

What you bring to the team
This is an important role at an exciting time in Eproval’s history, so we’re looking for someone special. The ideal candidate will possess a hybrid mindset that is part consultant and part implementation specialist. That is not to say that you have been a consultant, but just that you have the potential to think and act on your feet and provide clients with valuable insights. You must also be able to help our clients get setup and configured to realize value from the Eproval platform.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working with software packages and be skilled in setup, configuration and understanding system requirements and be comfortable configuring Eproval’s product tiers and application types.

Additionally, the successful applicant will be tasked with managing projects to onboard clients, track project milestones, execute tasks, set expectations and provide go-live customer support.

Here is a glimpse of what is needed for this position:

  • Manage client helpdesk support tickets
  • Evaluate client logic for use with the Eproval platform.
  • Conduct quality assurance on client implementation and configuration projects.
  • Working knowledge of JSON coding
  • Oversee client implementation and configuration projects including managing projects and code reviews.
  • Participate in cost estimating, proposals, and the sales process with potential clients.
  • Other related duties and projects as required.

This important role will be of Interest to candidates with an aptitude for product integration and customization and someone who can hold their own in a technical setting. Other important attributes will be a curiosity for self-improvement, a “quick-study” who can learn on the job with an eye to continuous improvement and optimization. Adaptability, a knack for learning new concepts and retaining information will serve you well.
