Celebrating 10 Years of Excellence in Special Event and Film Permitting
Ten years ago, we set out to solve a complex challenge—today, we celebrate the community that helped us do it.
This month, we proudly celebrate 10 years of leading innovation in special event and film permitting at Eproval.
In 2015, we set out to simplify special event and film permitting. A decade later, we’re proud to celebrate ten years of growth, innovation, and supporting the events that bring our cities to life.
As we celebrate this milestone, we’d like to thank you for being part of the journey and for your work enabling the events that shape our cities. We’ve grown into the trusted platform behind thousands of successful events, festivals, film shoots, and community activations across North America, and we couldn’t have done it without you.
Evolving with a Dynamic Industry
Since our establishment, we’ve kept pace with the evolving needs of cities and event organizers. From community festivals to drone shows and major sporting events, we’ve supported our clients through it all—adapting in real time as safety protocols changed, new permit types emerged, and special event permitting expectations grew.
“We built Eproval to bring clarity, speed, and collaboration to permitting. Ten years later, we’re still pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.”
— Jonathan Thompson, Managing Director, Eproval
What’s Next
Looking ahead to the next decade, we remain focused on helping agencies meet the growing demands of special event oversight with confidence. This means continuing to listen to our users, driving innovation, and raising the bar for special event and film permitting.
We’re expanding support for permitting types that orbit special events and film production—like sidewalk cafés, drone usage, and encroachment permits. We’re also investing in features that make collaboration even more seamless, transparent, and flexible.
Whether you’ve been with us since the beginning or just launched your first application, we’re grateful to partner with agencies that care deeply about civic engagement, safety, and innovation.
Let’s keep building smarter permitting systems—together.
