How is Eproval different from other permitting systems?

Eproval fills a critical third niche. Unlike land use systems or parks and recreation registration tools, Eproval is purpose-built to handle complex, high-touch permits that involve multiple reviewers, public safety coordination, and iterative workflows. We work alongside your existing systems, not in place of them.

Does Eproval support parallel reviews?

Yes. Eproval enables asynchronous, parallel reviews—eliminating bottlenecks caused by linear approvals. Reviewers can be classified as “Approval Required” or “Information Only” allowing flexible workflows that reflect each department’s role.

Can departments have internal workflows that Applicants can’t see?

Yes. Eproval supports both public-facing and internal workflows. For example, an Applicant may be instructed to hire private security, while behind the scenes, Reviewers are coordinating road closures, staffing, and inspections.

Can Applicants revise submissions after they are submitted?

Yes. Permit Managers and Reviewers can request revisions or additional documentation at any point in the process. All changes are tracked in the Document Log, Communication Log, and Activity Log.

What kind of notifications does Eproval send?

Eproval provides real-time notifications via email and dashboard alerts. These are personalized to each role, so Applicants, Reviewers, and Permit Managers only see what’s relevant to them.

Implementation and Support

How long does it take to implement Eproval?

Implementation timelines vary by client needs, but Eproval uses a proven onboarding process led by our Customer Success Team. Most clients go live within 4 to 6 months.

Is training provided?

Yes. Eproval provides live training sessions, recorded sessions, and instructional videos for Permit Managers and Reviewers to ensure they are confident using the platform and managing the approval process. Applicants typically do not require formal training due to Eproval’s intuitive design, but self-guided videos are available to support them if needed.

Integration and Access

Can Eproval integrate with our payment gateway?

Yes. Eproval supports integration with third-party payment gateways to simplify fee collection and reconciliation.

Are there modules that support business requirements beyond permitting?

Yes. Eproval offers optional Add-on Modules that enhance platform functionality, including:

Yes. All data in Eproval is exportable to CSV. Agencies can also subscribe to advanced reporting modules customized to meet your needs.

Security and Compliance

Is Eproval secure?

Yes. Eproval follows industry best practices for data encryption, access controls, and audit trails. We support Identity Provider-initiated Single Sign-On (IdP SSO) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to ensure secure access and identity management. Eproval complies with government IT procurement standards and provides security documentation as part of any procurement review.
