Eproval improves special event permitting for all stakeholders

April 10, 2018

When Jan Sawyer, Special Event Coordinator at the City of Fort Collins, decided to invest in a solution to streamline the City’s special event permit process, she expected some benefits associated with replacing the City’s paper-based system. However, since its implementation, the extent to which Eproval improved overall productivity and user confidence has even surprised her.

Outside of the Special Event Department, Eproval is also impacting other departments and external agencies:

“I can proudly say that our permit process is more cohesive now”
– Fort Collins Police Services

“I feel more confident that information is not getting missed or dropped through the cracks”
– Liquor Licensing Authority

It’s still early to gauge the full impact of Eproval at the City of Fort Collins, but as an officer in Fort Collins Police Services stated, “we have [already] become the model for other areas of the City, and other cities”. As the City of Fort Collins approaches its busy event permitting season this spring, Jan is looking forward to seeing how Eproval also enhances the user experience for permit applicants.
